Set to premiere on Thursday, Hotspot Selimathunzi is the show that leads the South African entertainment landscape and remains committed to innovation and staying current to ensure its relevance to a dynamic audience.

Between the 90s and the 2000s, Selimathunzi was a leading lifestyle show on the SABC network, with presenters such as Dosto Noge, Zam Nkosi, Kaos Mate, Lunga Shabalala and Zizo Beda. The show was canned by the SABC about two years ago.

Media personality Potelwa, known for her lively interviewing skills, will take charge of the fast-paced red-carpet segments, while Vazi will infuse the interviews with viewers and celebrities with his unique and engaging approach.

Sparks, with his background in dance and music, is expected to inject vibrant energy into the show, ensuring that it stays current with the latest viral challenges and social media trends.

By spotlighting the glamour of events, the pulse of music, and the personalities of celebrities, Hot Spot Seli has firmly established itself as a trusted source of entertainment in viewers' homes.

The approach aims to bridge the gap between celebrities and our audience, captivating them through authentic storytelling in real-time.

Excitingly, this season promises to take the viewer on a compelling journey with coverage of the Basadi Music Awards' red carpet, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Enhle Mbali's collection for SA Fashion Week, and an adventure on wheels as the crew explores the world of pumped-out cars at the Royal Heritage Festival BMW Spinning event.

As Hotspot Selimathunzi returns to grace our screens, viewers can anticipate an unforgettable season packed with glamour, music, and compelling stories that will undoubtedly solidify its position as a beloved source of entertainment.

Selimathunzi will air on SABC1 at 6pm on Thursdays.
