“The Mommy Club: Sugar and Spice” cast member, Kim Jones recently reflected on her motherhood journey as well as her scene with Christina Dejvraj, which had viewers talking on social media about her rather odd behaviour.
In her interview with Showmax, Jones said that filming while pregnant was quite the experience as her hormones fluctuated constantly.
“One minute, I’m melting from the heat; the next, I’m exhausted with swollen feet. There are countless bathroom breaks, and I’m constantly hungry.
“My hormones fluctuate from ‘cry me a river’ to ‘rage against the machine’."
The 33-year-old new mom shared that as a new mother, every day is a new opportunity to become the best version of yourself. The struggle is real, but the joy that motherhood brings is even brighter.
“Honestly, for a moment, I sat there in shock, but I mostly stayed calm, reminding myself that I had a baby on board. With the mantra ‘don’t stress yourself, mama’.
“I focused on keeping the baby safe, especially since, at eight months pregnant, anything could trigger early labour. Thankfully, we made it through,” she said reflecting on her scene with Christina Devraj.
Jones, was on a picnic with Devraj and at the end of the picnic as she said her goodbyes, she mentioned that her lip gloss and bank card was missing. Devraj asked Jones if she had not seen her missing items and Jones replied with a no.
“I did a thorough check in my bags, but I didn’t find any of her items,” Jones said.
She added that her relationship with her cast members remains genuine whether its on or off screen. However she has a close relationship with the twins, Losh and Resh Naidoo.
Jones said that people should continue watching the show because There’s plenty more drama and spice on the way.
