The hashtag Cheaters SA has been topping the trend list since Wednesday night wreaking havoc on social media.
The concept is adapted from the American TV show Cheaters where people who are unfaithful in their relationships are exposed on national television.
Cheaters, one of the longest running shows on American TV, is a blend of Jerry Springer and some of the detective shows on CBS Reality - a group of private investigators follows the suspected cheater for days until they gather all the damning, then they present it to the suspecting 'client', who would have contacted the show for assistance.
The suspecting spouse gets to confront the cheating significant other and in most cases, the guilty party is caught in the act and all hell breaks loose.
And all of this is coming to the South African shores causing the great "Twitter divide". While some argue that the show is not a good idea, others reckon the show is going to be a hit — and quite literally.

Just a few year ago, one of the Soweto community radio stations, Jozi FM created a replica of the show. Pastors, community leaders and your average Joe were exposed on the show. The show became popular that listeners would wait outside the station just to bear witness to the drama taking place in the studio.
