The trailer, which has taken social media platforms by storm, hints at a blend of heartfelt family interactions and behind-the-scenes glimpses into her music career.

The narrative of the clip unfolds with a striking confrontation, where a male voice claims that she is not Mampintsha's wife.

This leads to Wodumo revealing that she opened her late husband's phone and discovered messages from other women.

Fans’ anticipation for the show's premiere is palpable, with many taking to social media to express their excitement.

One enthusiastic user remarked: “You're reality TV gold. I hope there will be many seasons.”

Another fan added: “One thing about you, you were made for fame. You did not lie when you called yourself ‘Babes Wodumo’. You are the star that you think you are!”

Reality television is not a new realm for Wodumo. In 2021, she and her late husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, were featured in their own reality series, “Uthando Lodumo”, on Showmax.

The couple returned for a second season in 2022, offering viewers a closer look at their lives together.

Now, following the tragic passing of Mampintsha and the responsibilities of single parenthood to their only son, Wodumo finds herself navigating a complex emotional landscape while endeavouring to rebuild her life.

Her sister and manager, Nondu Simelane, hinted at the dramatic elements that viewers can expect: "There’s going to be a lot of drama from when Mampintsha was at the mortuary to life now. It’s our journey, and a lot is going to be revealed."

∎ “Wena Wodumo” airs on Moja Love (DStv channel 157) at 8.30pm on Saturday, March 29.
