Tyla adds January tour date after stunning Mzansi with performances

Grammy-award winning South African musician Tyla gave her day one Tygers a performance they won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Tyla for the first time since her international success performed a two city concert - Cape Town and Pretoria - with both being sold out.

Just hours after her show at SunBet Arena in Tshwane, Tyla announced that she would be returning for another performance at the arena on January 18, much to the delight of her fans.

Concert goers have been excitedly sharing moments from both shows with many praising Tyla for the amazing performances she delivered.

Taking to X, Tyla shhared that : “The past 2 shows felt like I was rocking w my friends ❤️🐅 ILY SA”

Her homecoming celebration kicked off with an exclusive performance in her hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa, in collaboration with Coke Studio and Spotify.

She then brought the house down at Grand West Arena, Cape Town to close things off at SunBet Arena in Tshwane. Both concerts were full to capacity with her fans dressed up in the best Y2K outfits.

Her shows were also attended by famous names such as Rich Mnisi, Rachel Kolisi, Yaya Mavundla, Aisha Baker, Layla and Cheslin Kolbe, Siv Ngesi, Rosette Ncwane and Mohale Motaung. 

For all her shows Tyla kicked the shows with “Jump” which has the fitting line of “They never seen a pretty girl from Joburg” which erupted the crowds at each venue as she announced her arrival.

Her concerts proved that Tyla has a strong local fanbase and all the awards she has received locally and internationally were well deserves
