KZNSA Gallery: The Flatfoot Dance Company create Happenstance, an evocative series of meetings and partings that trace contemporary relationships. “Happenstance” is a synonym for coincidence, accident, a chance event or encounter … but usually producing positive results.

Playhouse Opera: Lerner and Lowe’s My Fair Lady comes to the Playhouse for 10 performances from March 8-16 after sold out seasons in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Produced by Pieter Toerien Productions and Cape Town Opera, directed by Steven Stead and designed by Greg King it stars Craig Urbani as Henry Higgins and Durban’s own Leah Mari as Eliza Doolittle. Boasting timeless songs such as “I Could Have Danced All Night”, “Get Me to the Church on Time” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly” this grand production is set to enthral audiences of all ages. Playhouse Opera: The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra's Summer Season promises two concerts On February 21 and 28. In the first concert, conducted by Daniel Boico with violinist Mayumi Kanagawa, expect Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Beethoven’s Symphony No 4. The second concert features Mark Kadin on the podium with pianist Leo de Maria. They will play Haydn’s Toy Symphony, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 1, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 "Italian". Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre: The Decorative Arts Society’s presentation on the Chelsea Flower Show 2024 and the plans for 2025 by popular horticulturist Keith Kirsten will take place on Tuesday, February 18 from 12.30pm to 13.30pm. Durban Holocaust and Genocide Centre: In a quest to better understand their late mother’s experiences as a teenager in East Germany, five Thompson sisters unearthed a fascinating story of bravery, blind faith and unlikely friendships at the end of World War 2.
