The dating scene has changed significantly over the years. While some people have lost the culture of courting a potential culture, some put in effort to pursue the person they are interested in.

Experts predict that artificial intelligence and virtual reality will make dating apps much smarter in 2025.

For introverts, dating apps are much better than going out with the hope of meeting someone. AI apps help them with personal matchmaking, diving deep into their likes, dislikes and quirks to set them up with their perfect match.

“VR might even let you go on a ‘first date’ in a virtual café, like sipping a latte in a virtual re-creation of Paris,” said Amy Williams of Peachy.

“This could mean more meaningful connections and fewer mismatched dates, but it also might make ghosting sting even more when you were supposed to be a perfect match.”

Fewer rules

While monogamy is still a thing, experts suggest that more people than ever are exploring open relationships and non-traditional set-ups.

Whether it’s polyamory, ethical non-monogamy (i.e., not affairs or cheating), or ‘situationships’, the idea is to craft relationships that work for you.

More love for everyone

The world is growing more accepting of LGBTQ+ relationships, cross-cultural romances and identities that don’t fit neatly into boxes.

Love stories today are becoming more diverse, but challenges like navigating cultural differences or overcoming lingering biases haven’t completely disappeared.
