Located at Pietermaritzburg Airport, Fuze Aviation Academy hosts the Pietermaritzburg Airshow, an exceptional event designed to create a memorable and captivating experience for aviation enthusiasts and families.

Scheduled for Saturday, August 10, at the Pietermaritzburg Airport, this airshow will showcase South Africa's finest pilots and aircraft, delivering breathtaking aerobatic displays that will leave audiences spellbound.

It is reported that this airshow will be the first one in 10 years, and it will offer educational opportunities, such as aviation workshops

“The Pietermaritzburg Airshow has established itself as a premier event in the aviation calendar, drawing enthusiasts from all over the country. This year, the airshow promises to be bigger and better, with a line-up that includes vintage warbirds, high-energy performances, and everything in between,” said Nikki Ruttimann.

Attendees can anticipate a day filled with awe-inspiring aerial manoeuvres, heart-pounding stunts, and the thunderous roar of powerful engines as pilots push their aircraft to the limits of their capabilities.

Among the highlights of the Pietermaritzburg Airshow are performances by South Africa’s aerobatic teams and pilots. Andrew Blackwood-Murray will grace the skies with his captivating displays. The Marksmen Aerobatic Team will enthral audiences with their breathtaking routines.

Patrick Davidson will showcase his extraordinary flying skills. Veteran pilot Scully Levin will take to the skies, sharing his wealth of experience and passion for aviation. The Navion Aerobatic Team will leave audiences in awe. And helicopter pilot Juba Joubert will demonstrate the agility and versatility of rotary-wing aircraft.

“This is a not-to-be-missed event for anyone with a passion for aviation or those looking for a fun and exciting day out with the family. Gates will open at 8am, with the main airshow starting at 10am and continuing throughout the day.”
