King Harald on Wednesday welcomed South African President Jacob Zuma at the start of his official visit to Norway.
The president was accompanied by the ministers for foreign affairs, trade and education as well as a business delegation.
After inspecting a guard of honour, the two heads of state attended a luncheon, and among those present were Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
The president later visited Oslo cathedral where he laid flowers in memory of the 77 people killed in twin attacks in Norway on July 22.
During the two-day visit, Zuma was Thursday to meet with Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and other officials, and give a lecture on peace and reconciliation at the Nobel Institute.
Four South African nationals have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize that is selected by a five-member committee. -
