Scarcely had the Golf 7 broken cover when German tuning haus Abt Sportsline announced an aftermarket package for the 20`13 Golf - and committed themselves to having a display unit fitted and ready to go for next week's Geneva motor show.

The show car will be a two-litre TDI, with its engine tweaked to raise its power output from Volkswagen's 110kW to a claimed 125. Abt also has kits for the 1.4-litre TSI petrol version that kick it even more sharply upstairs - from 90 to 118kW.

In addition to the extra muscle, the Abt Golf 7 will feature a splitter, side skirts and four kezorsts poking through a rear diffuser, running special 19" alloys on custom sports suspension.
