Rastafarian grandmother fights for grandson's right to keep dreadlocks at Cape Town school

Mandilakhe TshweteA Rastafarian grandmother is concerned that her grandson was instructed to cut his dreadlocks at a Cape Town school. Patricia Japhta said her grandson, Ras Zeron Gabriels a Grade 3 learner at Perseverance Primary School in Mitchells Plain, was scared to go to school on Wednesday. Western Cape Education Department spokesperson Bronagh Hammond said the school has denied the allegations.
