TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi is the latest to jump on the Relebohile Mofokeng bandwagon, and predicted the Orlando Pirates youngster to have a big future in football.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos and Pirates mentor Jose Riveiro are big fans of the teenage sensation, and teammate Deon Hotto recently said he was ready to move abroad.

Sukazi, though, has boldly likened the 19-year-old to Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

Yamal, who turned 17 earlier this month, followed his impressive debut season for the Catalan club by playing an important role in the country’s successful European Championship campaign, where they beat England in the final.

So impressive was Yamal’s season that he’s seen by many as the heir apparent to Lionel Messi’s crown as the world’s best football player.

“You can rave about Lamine Yamal, but Mofokeng at Pirates does the exact same thing, or even better, in my humble opinion. Our league is much faster than what you see in La Liga,” Sukazi was quoted by Hollywoodbets on Tuesday.

“They are slow, they have time on the ball, they are technical and they are very much aware but we are very fast and our game is high-paced,” Sukazi said.

“To navigate at his age and decide matches the way he does, he is in the exact, if not better level than Yamal of Barcelona. If you don’t believe me, put them on the field together, you will see what I am talking about. We have that kind of talent but it must be trained by the qualified people.”
