AKA’s legacy still shines bright with his loved ones, fans and fellow artists keeping his memory alive.

Recently, Prince Kaybee took to X (formerly Twitter), dropping a photo of him and AKA side by side, and penned some heartfelt words about the late rap icon’s impact.

Their bond was real and you could see it all over social media.

Back in 2020, Kaybee was hyping up his bro, sharing a screenshot of their phone convo. He called AKA’s tracks “fire”, saying the man had the music game on lock, throwing in some medal and pleading face emojis for good measure.

AKA replied with, “It takes a hit man to know a hit man”.

Fast-forward to now, Kaybee hit up X with some deep feels.

“Besides our BMW vs Mercedes beef and political clashes, I miss you dearly, masekind. Your boldness pushed me to be bold too, and I feel that void now. Rest easy, Kiernan,” the DJ shared.

But the trolls were out in force and fired back at Kaybee on the difference between him and AKA, which is that AKA loved his country.

@Tom47096338 commented: “The other difference is that SupaMega was very patriotic, he wasn’t ashamed to stand with the people of South Africa in times of controversy.”

@UMntuNgabantu added: “This was a true patriot, loved this country a lot, something you clearly didn't learn from him.”

Kaybe responded with: “Lol there was nothing to learn, he knew my thoughts and respected them, next.”

@selokelamokgawa commented: “He stood with South Africans when it was not popular to do so, especially in the entertainment industry, where his peers feared to comment on issues affecting South Africans because they didn't want to lose endorsement deals.

“Wish people could stop using his pics for clout.”

@LuyaBrownie also wrote: “He adored you, I’ll always remember how you were amongst the few in the industry that embraced him when he needed it most. ❤️”
