Viral 'Tshwala Bam' remix hits 100 million streams on digital platforms

The electrifying remix of "Tshwala Bam" by TitoM and Yuppe as well as Nigeria’s Burna Boy, featuring S.N.E and EeQue, has achieved a whopping 100 million streams across digital streaming platforms since its release on May 15.

“This monumental achievement underscores the global resonance and massive appeal of the track, cementing its status as a cultural and musical juggernaut,” a statement read.

In addition, when combining the streams of both the original version and the remix, the total streams soar to an extraordinary 277 million.

“This staggering number is a testament to the song's universal appeal and the immense talent of the artists involved.”

On TikTok, the original version of the amapiano hit has garnered an astronomical 15.3 billion views and inspired 10.2 million creations as it continues to become a global sensation.

The official music video for the original track has also captivated audiences worldwide as it amassed 37 million views.

“Further amplifying its impact, the remix has taken TikTok by storm as well with 1.4 billion views and 1.4 million creations,” the statement added.

“The remix music video has also been a hit, racking up 15 million views.”

It explained that across YouTube, user-generated content related to the song has accumulated an impressive 790 million views, showcasing the song's widespread popularity and influence.

On Shazam, the original track has been identified five million times, while the remix has been Shazamed 1 100 times, reflecting the song's widespread discovery and appeal.

Additionally, the remix has been featured in user-generated content an astounding 55.3 million times, highlighting its pervasive presence across various platforms and communities.

In just under a month, the original version of the hit song surpassed eight million streams globally on Spotify.

It became the fastest amapiano song released in 2024 to achieve this milestone.

To add to "Tshwala Bam’s" appeal, the song has even sparked a viral TikTok dance challenge.

World-renowned singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, together with Larry and Laurent Bourgeois, who are also known as the Les twins and have danced for Beyoncé, are among those who jumped on to the online trend.

Their rendition of the “Tshwala Bam” dance craze on TikTok video has received around 61 million views.

Meanwhile, Chris Brown, Tyla, Kai Cenat, Lamiez Holworthy, Jayda Wayda and Saucy Santana have also since shown the South African track some love on social media.
