Male grooming is on the rise and South African rugby players Faf de Klerk and Cheslin Kolbe are at the forefront of this after partnering with international beauty brand L’Oréal South Africa.

The dynamic collaboration will see De Klerk lending his star power to the L’Oréal Paris Elvive and Men Expert campaigns, while Cheslin Kolbe will spearhead the L’Oréal Paris Men Expert campaign.

De Klerk, who is conscious of his looks, is excited about the collaboration.

“The opportunity to partner with a brand like L’Oréal Paris, a brand synonymous with excellence, is truly an honour,” he said.

“The brand resonates with my commitment to looking and feeling my best, both on and off the field.”

Kolbe said he wanted to use this collaboration to empower more men.

“Partnering with L’Oréal Paris Men Expert is an incredible opportunity to inspire men to invest more time into their appearance and well-being.

“This campaign is about empowering men to embrace self-care and confidence. It’s a message that resonates deeply with me, both as an athlete and as a person,” he said.

The Springbok players join the likes of other African stars such as internationally renowned actress Thuso Mbedu and Nigeria’s Temi Otedola, who are part of the L’Oréal Paris family.

The only difference is that Kolbe and De Klerk are part of L’Oréal South Africa, while Mbedu and Otedola represent the sub-Saharan Africa region.
