Renowned actress Brenda Ngxoli has thanked fans for their support and assured them that the money will be put to good use.

This follows Ngxoli’s brave decision to share a video on her Instagram page capturing an argument with her mother. In the clip, she can be heard saying that, due to her social standing, her mother has repeatedly abused her and even threatened to expose her in the media.

Since the incident, the actress has been overwhelmed with love and support from fans and fellow celebrities.

Ferguson Films showed their support by donating R50,000 to the actress.

Businesswoman Zandiswa Msikinya, of Lilitha Boutique Farm Lodge, also made a generous donation of R10,000 and added that the sponsorship included pampering sessions and photoshoots for her portfolio.

TV personality Somizi Mhlongo also joined the wave of support for Ngxoli, urging the industry to open doors for the actress.

“Can the spirit of BOOKED AND BUSY locate this talented queen. Promoters. Corporate etc do your thing.”

In a Facebook post, the South African Traditional Leaders Awards (SATLA) announced the actress as the Programme Director for the upcoming event.
