The KwaZulu-Natal Growth Fund Agency (KZNGFA) will, starting Thursday, embark on educating business people and entrepreneurs about possible funding opportunities available through the organisation.

In partnership with the National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC), the agency will host a series of roadshow events across different districts in KwaZulu-Natal, commencing on September 11.

The organisation said in a media statement that the roadshows will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs, business owners, and other stakeholders to learn more about the funding opportunities that it can offer. Participants will also engage directly with experts on how to access funding products that can help scale and sustain their businesses.

Xolani Nhlapo, Chief Investment Officer at the KZNGFA, said: “We are committed to ensuring that more businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, are aware of the funding opportunities available to them. These roadshows will not only guide applicants through the funding process but also encourage entrepreneurs to think bigger and explore how they can scale their businesses from SMME level to new heights with the support of the KZNGFA.”

Enock Dladla, NAFCOC KZN Deputy Chairperson, stated that such initiatives are important for the growth of businesses across the province: “This partnership brings real value to our members and the wider business community. By taking these roadshows to the districts, we are bringing information, guidance, and opportunity closer to entrepreneurs who might otherwise not have access. It is about creating inclusive economic growth and empowering businesses to thrive.”

The first roadshow will kick off on September 11 with subsequent events scheduled across KwaZulu-Natal districts over the coming weeks and months.

“On 18 September, we will be in Port Shepstone for a similar event,” said Nhlapo.
