After touring across the USA, New Zealand and Canada earlier this year, international hit tribute The Michael Jackson HIStory Show will return to Durban this month for its end-of-year performances at playTSOGO Globe at Suncoast on December 20 and 21.
The organisers said this marks the second consecutive year the acclaimed tribute show will close out its annual world tour at one of Durban’s premier entertainment venues - a testament to the city’s love for the King of Pop, and the production’s ongoing success.
The return of the show coincides with renewed global attention falling on MJ, following the release of the ‘Michael’ biopic trailer earlier this month. The excitement surrounding the film reinforces how relevant Jackson remains today – his music, dance, and style continuing to inspire generations and shape pop culture worldwide.
Described as a ‘visual spectacular’, The Michael Jackson HIStory Show recreates MJ’s most iconic moments through film clips and live performances. The show includes a world class band, dynamic dancers, and an impressive stage rig featuring big screens, pyrotechnics, and more than 200 moving lights.
South African star Garth Field, who has commanded audiences across the world, performs live as MJ singing all the well-known hits such as; Billie Jean, Thriller, Smooth Criminal, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Black or White, and Man in the Mirror as well as Jackson 5 crowd-pleasers such as ABC, I Want You Back and many more.
Tickets for both performances are available now from itickets.co.za.
