Sophie Turner and Chris Martin: the surprising new couple everyone's talking about

It would appear that there is a new couple making headlines in London.

“Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner and musician Chris Martin are reportedly dating after ending their long-term relationships.

According to “Us Weekly”, the actress and the Coldplay lead singer have been on a few private dates around London. 

A source told the publication that things are still new, but there is strong chemistry between the two. “They’ve gone out on a few dates in London. It’s still very new, but there’s a definite spark between them,” the source said.

Both stars are said to have met through mutual friends in the music industry and are keeping their connection low-key. Despite their efforts to stay private, reports suggest their relationship is “more than just casual” and that they enjoy spending time together away from the public eye.

Turner has had a busy year following her divorce from Joe Jonas, with whom she shares two daughters, Willa and Delphine Jonas. 

The pair finalised their split in 2024 and have since spoken publicly about co-parenting. In an interview with “British Vogue”, Turner said, “I think we’re doing the best we can. Joe is a great father to our children, and that’s all that I can ask for.”

Jonas shared the same sentiments about Turner earlier this year, calling her “an incredible mom” and saying that their daughters are lucky to have her as a role model.

After her divorce, the 29-year-old actress briefly dated British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. The two were reportedly together in October 2023; however, their relationship quietly ended earlier this year. 

Now, just days after news of Turner’s new romance with Martin surfaced, Pearson has reportedly been spotted moving on as well. 

He was photographed on what appeared to be a romantic date with German influencer Nina Suess in west London, where the two were seen sharing steamy kisses and laughing together.

On the other hand, 48-year-old Martin recently ended his nearly eight-year relationship with actress Dakota Johnson in June. The former couple were together in 2017 and got engaged three years later. 

Martin has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since the breakup and has instead focused on Coldplay’s ongoing world tour.

It turns out that this is not the first time Turner and Martin have crossed paths. The two reportedly met years ago through mutual friends while Turner was still married to Joe Jonas. 

In 2020, Jonas surprised Turner with a video message from Martin for her birthday on his show Cup of Joe. At the time, she was visibly excited, calling herself a big fan of Coldplay.
