The recent Los Angeles stop of Brandy and Monica's “The Boy Is Mine Tour” was less a concert and more a gathering of the music industry’s elite.

The event, held at a sold-out Kia Forum in California, proved that the R&B icons are as vital and influential as ever

While the show by Brandy and Monica was the main event, the sheer number of celebrities who showed up simply to enjoy the music has become the talk of the town.

You had R&B royalty like The Carters, Beyoncé and JAY-Z, spotted in the crowd, alongside global megastar Rihanna.

Rihanna even made a point of going backstage to meet and chat with both Brandy and Monica, admitting that she “had to be there” after seeing the tour's setlist.

And the star power didn’t stop there. Other legends like Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, and even Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland (who was also a supporting act) were all present.

It was a powerful testament to the duo’s legacy to see such a diverse mix of music icons gathering to celebrate two queens of R&B.

Monica and Brandy have built careers, filled with awards and unforgettable tracks.

Their ultimate collaboration, “The Boy Is Mine,” earned them the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals back in 1999.

Beyond that major win, Brandy has collected an American Music Award and numerous NAACP Image Awards.

At the same time, Monica also boasts many accolades and holds the distinction of being the first artist with No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart in three consecutive decades.

Throughout the concert, the audience was treated to a non-stop parade of their biggest hits.

Brandy brought the house down with songs like “I Wanna Be Down,” “Sittin’ Up In My Room,” and “Full Moon”, while Monica delivered her classics such as “Don't Take It Personal” and “Angel of Mine”.

The whole tour’s concept and the electric energy in the Kia Forum were all built on the foundation of their 1998 duet, “The Boy Is Mine.”

If you're an ‘80s or ‘90s baby, you undoubtedly remember that smash hit.

Released over 25 years ago, the song was an instant, massive sensation, famously spending a record-shattering 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
