Former "Big Brother Mzansi" star Ash-ley Ogle surprised fans on Valentine’s Day after revealing that she has welcomed a baby boy.
While many celebrities marked the day with flowers, gifts and soft-launched romances, Ogle chose a different route and announced her son’s arrival with a heartfelt Instagram post dedicated to her “forever Valentine.”
“Happy Valentine’s to my forever Valentine. It’s just been you and I against the world, playing hide and go seek. We’re hiding, and everyone seeks. Looks like they found us and now we’re ‘IT’. Let’s go seeking, shall we?” she wrote, before ending the message with, “I love you forever, Kenzo-Lu.”
The post sent social media into a frenzy, with congratulatory messages pouring in alongside growing curiosity about the identity of the baby’s father.
“I’d be disappointed if Sweet Guluva is a deadbeat. Who is Ashley’s baby daddy? Congratulations to her. Why, athi 'it’s just the two of us'," asked @GudGirlLucy1 on X.
Some fans have speculated that the child could be linked to her former flame and fellow housemate, Sweet Guluva, though neither he nor Ogle has publicly confirmed this.
The speculation comes months after Ogle addressed her breakup with Guluva, a relationship that began inside the "Big Brother" house during the fifth season and became one of the season’s most talked-about romances.
After her eviction, the pair attempted to continue their relationship outside the house, but it eventually ended.
Speaking on the YouTube show “Drink or Tell The Truth” hosted by Lasizwe Dambuza, Ogle made it clear that the split was not her decision. She revealed that Guluva ended the relationship and that she was left with little choice but to accept it.
She also spoke about the difference between the man she fell for on reality TV and the person behind the scenes, admitting that while she loved Sweet Guluva, she struggled to connect with the real him outside of the show.
Despite the public breakup and online scrutiny, Ogle has continued to receive overwhelming support from her fans.
She previously made headlines after supporters surprised her with cash and luxury gifts, something that has never stopped since she left the reality competition, which shows just how invested her fanbase remains in her journey.
They recently contributed two cheques for the baby, which were revealed during the baby shower: one for the “piggy bank” amounting to R30 000, and one for the Trust Fund for R20 000.
Addressing why she chose to keep her pregnancy private for so long, Ashley said the decision was largely about protecting her career.
“People tend to see pregnant people as weak, and I didn’t want to stop getting my brand deals, obviously, I needed them,” she said.
She added that during that period, she felt her pregnancy was not something she owed the public access to, especially while she was trying to secure her income and stability.
