Ray J is back in the headlines for making a claim that is, quite literally, statistically staggering.
During an interview with Cam Newton on his "Funky Friday" podcast, the entrepreneur and singer claimed that his lifetime body count has officially hit 12 500 different women, sparking a wave of disbelief across the internet.
Ray J claimed that when he originally hit the 10 000 mark several years ago, he actually threw a celebration to commemorate the milestone.
"I did a booby trap party when I reached 10,000. Yeah. So, we did a celebration. Booby trap, celebrated my 10 000. I had about 400 or 500 girls that I messed with who came through, supported. It was a massive parade.
"It's at like 12 500 now, but I wanted it to get to like 11 000. So, I was guaranteed 10 000."
A visibly sceptical Newton didn't let the numbers slide, pulling out a calculator to illustrate the absurdity: for a 45-year-old, 12,500 partners would require averaging 1.5 new partners every single day for 30 years straight.
Ray J’s rebuttal was that his lifestyle simply operates on a different frequency than the average person.
"Like I understand the math and the skill. The math is different because when we're on tour, we're thinking five to 10 a day. These n***** got way more bodies than me. I got first off, some of my friends. Some of my home girls, they f*** 45 000 a year.
"I'm 10 000, 12 000, one person at a time. And shout out to Will Chamberlain. He's at like 25 000. Will Chamberlain has a world record."
Despite the high volume, Ray J insists there is an expiration date on his pursuits.
He claimed he has a strict cap on how many more women he will sleep with before he is officially finished, stating: "As I said, a thousand is all I can do in my world."
While some treated it as classic Ray J trolling, others expressed genuine concern.
Commentators noted that 12 500 unique partners is equivalent to the capacity of a mid-sized sports arena, leading social media users to dub him a "walking public health case study."
