Influencer and club entertainment manager Neliswa Ngada has been disqualified from “Big Brother Mzansi: Bazozwa” following a violent incident in the house.

The 30-year-old Western Cape-born housemate was removed from the competition shortly after the Sunday eviction show, which also saw 22-year-old Dube exit the house after he was evicted

Ngada’s disqualification comes after she physically assaulted fellow housemate Velile “Que” Nongongo during an altercation that escalated late Saturday night.

Drama unfolded after the housemates returned from their weekly party, with several arguments breaking out in different group settings.

One of those confrontations involved Nongongo, Ngada and Didintle “Didi” Mothobi. During the heated exchange, Nongongo verbally attacked Mothobi, calling her a slut, which is a derogatory term and saying “no wonder you were abused”, making a comment referencing Mothobi’s history of abuse.

His words sparked a strong reaction from most of the housemates who did not condone his behaviour, and in defence of Mothobi, Ngada resorted to physical violence against him.

During the argument, Didi charged at Nongongo attempting to kick him but was quickly pulled back then Ngada followed and punched Nongongo while he was in bed covering himself with a blanket.

She was later stopped by her fellow housemates after attempting to head back to Nongongo holding a manikin tripod used to place wigs.

Physical violence is strictly prohibited in the “Big Brother” house. According to the rule book:

“Housemates are not allowed to strike, intimidate, threaten or act in any way that can be construed as violent towards any fellow Housemates. This could result in immediate disqualification.”

As a result, Ngada was immediately disqualified from the game after “Big Brother” played the footage of the altercation to the rest of the house.

Nongongo received one strike for his verbal comments, while Mothobi was issued with two strikes for physical violence and provocation. A third strike would lead to her immediate removal from the house.

Many of her fans rallied behind her on social media, saying she left an icon” for standing up for Mothobi even though her resorting to violence was unacceptable. Media personality and acquaintance to Ngada Sphaka Ngonyama took to X to defend her character.

“I have known Neli since varsity 2021. Absolutely not a violent person and I just wish someone stopped her. Really out of character. However, rules are rules. Actions have consequences,” he wrote.

The show later confirmed the decision in a statement shared on social media.

“Following an incident in the house last night and a subsequent investigation, Big Brother has made the decision to disqualify and remove a housemate from the game. The safety and well-being of all housemates remain our highest priority.”

With Ngada’s disqualification and Dube’s eviction, the competition continues with 12 housemates remaining in the “Bazozwa” house.
