Actress Makoma Mohale clarified that her earlier post was misinterpreted by fans. She explained that she was bidding farewell to the final season of the show, not to her character.

South Africa’s beloved e.tv soapie “Scandal!” took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster on Friday, March 7, when the beloved NFH building exploded and one of the most loved characters, Tlhogi (Makoma Mohale), was seen unconscious with a giant pole on top of her body.
While many fans were left speechless with last week’s episode, Mohale took to X to bid farewell to her character, seemingly adding to the fans' devastation.
“Farewell, my beloved. It’s been good,” she wrote in her caption, which was a repost to the scene that showed her lying unconscious on the floor after the explosion.
Mohale clarified that her earlier post was misinterpreted by fans. She explained that she was bidding farewell to the final season of the show, not to her character.
The latest season of “Scandal!” ended last week, however, the upcoming season will see new faces added to the cast.
Taking to its social media pages, “Scandal!” announced the new and seasoned actors that will be joining the soapie with more storylines and more drama.
Botlhale “Nia Brown" Baitsiwe will play Tshidi, Wright Ngubeni will play Botsotso, Danny De Bruyne has been cast as De Wet, Owen Sejake slips into the skin of Sammy-Day, Khutjo Green has been cast as Kedibone and Bongani Gumede as Ephraim.
Some of the returning iconic cast members include Dintle (Mapaseka Koetle), Mudala (Kgaugelo James Sithole), Vuvu (Mamarumo Marokane), Tlhogi (Makoma Mohale), Nhloso (Kwenzo Ngcobo) and Taps (Boikarabelo Mabuza).
Another character that is making his comeback to our screens is South Africa’s most beloved villain, Mthunzi, played by Bongile Mantsai.
