Kim Kardashian’s love life is back on everyone’s feed and the internet is doing what it does best - having opinions nobody asked for but everyone ends up reading anyway. And if you’ve been anywhere near social media this week, you’ve definitely seen it pop up more than once.
A new romance, soft launches, matching energy. Two humans. Together. Romantically. Groundbreaking stuff, apparently.
Over in Mzansi, Anele Mdoda added her voice and it landed exactly how you’d expect. Confident, a little cheeky and straight to the point. It all started when a user, Uncle Charles, asked, “@Anele I've always been curious on how u feel about this relationship, because I know u are a huge Hamilton fan?”
Mdoda came through with clarity. “I’m extremely happy about it. For two reasons. One, he does his best work when he is trying to impress a girl. Two, they are the same person.”
That was enough to calm a few nerves online. Because let’s be fair, Kardashian's dating history has had people raising eyebrows.
For fans who have watched Kardashian navigate a series of very public relationships, this moment feels a little different. There’s less chaos, more curiosity.
Maybe even a bit of hope. Because if we’re being real, the past few years have had people whispering about that so-called Kardashian curse. But then again, maybe it was never a curse. Maybe some of these men were just moving mad.
Take Lamar Odom, who recently admitted he got involved with Khloé Kardashian “to make it to the top.” Sir? Imagine saying that out loud.
Back to Kim K though. Another fan, Wendy Tlo, added, “I really like Kim, largely cos everyone have come across says such amazing things about her character. I’m always rooting for her happiness. I like them together.”
Mdoda replied, “I really tried hard to find fault with her. I was the hater. She is a beast and I’m fully behind the two. They are the same person enye into.”
And maybe that’s the mood. Less side-eye, more soft support.
