The 2026 awards season has officially arrived, and with it, our very first look at the high-stakes celebrity fashion that will define the year.

The Critics Choice Awards took over the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica last night, and while the trophies go to the best in film and TV as voted by the critics, the black carpet is where the real drama happens.

It is the first major opportunity for stars to set the style bar, and let’s just say, the bar is already sky-high.

Before we dive into who wore what on the red carpet, there’s a duo that didn’t take things too seriously and created a viral moment.

“Hacks” stars Paul W. Downs and Megan Stalter arrived in matching bright orange leather outfits.

If you recognised the look, it’s because it was a perfect replica of the matching outfits Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner recently wore.

It was a brilliant way to poke fun at the intense fashion world while looking surprisingly stylish themselves.

Now let’s get back to the serious fashion moments.

While her outfit wasn’t as bright as her previous red carpet appearance, Kylie Jenner still made her mark in a vintage Versace gown. The plunging neckline and delicate lace panels were classic and sultry, proving that a vintage find is often a winner.

Teyana Taylor, who never plays it safe, showed up in a sharp, olive-toned Saint Laurent suit, but it was the accessories that made it.

She completed the look with a massive black feathered boa and sky-high leather boots. One of the most experimental looks on the carpet.

Jacob Elordi, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role in “Frankenstein”, kept it sleek and modern in a dark Bottega Veneta suit.

Ariana Grande brought the “Wicked” magic to life in a custom baby-pink satin gown by Alberta Ferretti. She looked like she was floating on air thanks to a sheer, floral-encrusted white tulle cape.

The night's Best Actress winner, Jessie Buckley, accepted her award in elegante custom Dior look.

Amanda Seyfried kept things effortlessly chic Valentino piece. She embraced one of the night’s biggest trends by sporting a perfectly placed bow, proving that simple silhouettes with one major detail are always a fashion hit.

The night was a huge win for movies like “One Battle After Another” and shows like “The Pitt.”
