A driver escaped serious injury when his vehicle crashed at a well-known shopping centre in La Lucia, north of the Durban CBD.
"On Tuesday morning, Marshall Security Community Support responded to an incident where the vehicle had crashed through a wall structure on the upper level of the premises," a Marshall Security spokesperson said.
He added that debris from the damaged wall had fallen onto vehicles parked on that level.
"The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is currently being assessed by paramedics on scene as a precautionary measure," the spokesperson added.
Emergency teams are working to remove the vehicle that has become wedged in the part of the wall.
At this stage, there are no fatalities or serious injuries reported.
