This is why uShaka's Wet 'n Wild water park is closed

Wet ’n Wild operations have been suspended while repairs and the necessary technical assessments are underway.

UShaka Marine World’s popular Wet ’n Wild water park has announced its temporary closure following an unexpected pipe burst that led to significant flooding in the plant room, impacting essential filtration and electrical systems crucial for water quality and guest safety.

“Our guests’ safety and the quality of our water are our top priorities,” eThekwini Municipality said in a statement. 

“We are committed to resolving this issue as swiftly and safely as possible," the City added.

Operations within Wet ’n Wild have been suspended while extensive repairs and technical assessments are conducted.

As a precaution, the water park is expected to remain closed for approximately four days, although this timeline could be adjusted depending on the progress of repairs and the results of comprehensive safety inspections.

Despite the setback at Wet ’n Wild, UShaka Marine World reassures visitors that all other attractions within the park remain operational.
