At LottoStar, we approach community upliftment as a valued responsibility and an opportunity to make a positive difference. Our true measure of success is in the lives we uplift, the dignity we help restore and the hope we ignite within our communities.

Through our campaigns and partnerships, LottoStar has been privileged to support vital causes across South Africa. Whether alongside leading radio stations or through our very own Star Foundation, every initiative reflects a shared commitment: to give back in ways that truly matter.

Over the past couple of months, your support has helped us turn that commitment into action.

Save7 – When one life ends, seven more begin

Through the May Money Madness competition with KFM, LottoStar players helped raise OVER R2,9 Million for Save7, an organisation transforming the future of organ donation in South Africa.

Save7 goes beyond awareness by turning intention into action with innovative initiatives such as the Time Capsule – a personal voice note that allows individuals to share their donor wishes with loved ones. This brings humanity, clarity and comfort to a difficult conversation.

The funds raised contributed to the LifePod, a specialised ICU dedicated to organ donors. This facility ensures dignified, critical care in a person’s final moments, enabling one life to save up to seven others. Because of you, more families will receive second chances.

Good Morning Angels – From compassion to cure

During LottoStar’s Fortune Frenzy competition with Jacaranda FM, players helped raised over R2 Million or Good Morning Angels, an initiative that has become a beacon of hope for South Africans in need.

From individuals facing overwhelming hardship to families navigating trauma, Good Morning Angels has consistently offered relief, resilience and compassion.

Of the funds raised, R697,000 enabled the purchase of a state-of-the-art laser treatment machine for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital, providing life-changing care to young burn victims. The remaining funds are being directed towards ongoing Good Morning Angels projects, continuing a powerful cycle of care across the country.

These stories are not just about assistance – they are about healing, dignity and renewed hope.

A simple solution to a lasting change

Through our Woza Win Competition on Ukhozi FM, LottoStar showed that winning can change lives far beyond the game. Together with our players, we proudly supported Gift of the Givers’ Pure Flow Amanzi initiative, helping bring safe, clean drinking water to communities facing South Africa’s water crisis. The R879,000 raised will provide 1,758 life-changing water filtration buckets — each one offering dignity, health and hope to families for up to two years. It’s proof that when we come together, every win can become a gift of life.

The Star Foundation – built on the belief that we rise by lifting others

At the centre of these initiatives is The Star Foundation, LottoStar’s dedicated platform for social impact. Through the foundation, urgent needs are identified, purpose-led partnerships are formed, and measurable change is driven nationwide.

From healthcare and education to food security and emergency relief, the Star Foundation is guided by one simple belief: when we uplift others, we uplift the nation.

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our players, partners and communities. Thank you for believing in the power of purpose.

LottoStar – charity is our privilege, not an obligation.
