Tributes pour in for beloved Grade 11 learner, Anathi Mtshare

Pietermaritzburg Girls High School shared that Grade 11 learners, Anathi Mtshare, died after a short illness.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media for a KwaZulu-Natal learner who died after a short illness.

Pietermaritzburg Girls High School shared that Anathi Mtshare succumbed to her illness recently.

"Anathi was a cherished member of our GHS family and we are deeply devastated by this loss," the school said in a post.

Pietermaritzburg GHS described the Grade 11 learner as someone who was admired for her strength, warmth and kindness.

"She had a bubbly personality that lit up a room and was known as a charming, friendly and polite learner. Her thoughtfulness and genuine care for others touched all who had the privilege of knowing her," the school added.

Anathi was also a member of the Girls for God Society and a valued member of her school's rugby team.

"Her passing leaves a profound emptiness in our school community. Anathi’s life, though far too short, brought joy, compassion and light to all who knew her and her memory will live on in our hearts," the school said.
