The Smile Foundation, in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti, will host a Smile Week at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital from October 6 to 10, 2025.
During the week, 18 children will undergo life-changing cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries, giving them not only new smiles but also renewed confidence and hope.
The initiative, which concludes on World Mental Health Day (October 10) aims to highlight the emotional challenges faced by children and families living with facial differences.
