As any Cricket World Cup nears the knockout stage, any Proteas fan would normally be a bundle of nerves, but this should not be the case this time around at the T20 World Cup, as it’s written in the stars that South Africa will lift that trophy.

Ok, it’s not the stars that are predicting this but a Supercomputer.

It has to be said that this same supercomputer said South Africa would lose to Australia in the semi-finals before the tournament began, but not even a sentient being could have predicted that Australia would perform so dismally at this tournament and be knocked out in the group phase.

In fact, it’s interesting to note that South Africa are predicted to face hosts India in a repeat of the 2024 final.

Supercomputer Predictions: South Africa’s Victory in Cricket World Cup Final

According to the Supercomputer-powered Betting Sites BD, South Africa will post a modest total of 171/5 in the final, and India will make 166/7 in response.

Like the 2024 final, the margin of victory will be modest, but this time it will result in South Africa’s first Cricket World Cup trophy.

The semi-finals will be contested by India taking on New Zealand and South Africa facing off against England.

India are projected to make 207/5 in their semi, with the Black Ferns falling just short in reply at 200/9.

South Africa too will have a narrow victory over the English, as the Proteas are projected to post 188/8 while restricting their opponents to 181.

I wouldn’t bet your house on the Proteas, but it might be worth foregoing a tasty lunch and putting it on South Africa.
