Pam Golding Properties has reported a significant cybersecurity breach, exposing thousands of client details. The company is taking immediate steps to enhance security and has informed affected clients.

Hackers have gained access to thousands of Pam Golding Properties client details following a hack of the group's customer relationship management (CRM) system.
The property group said it has since appointed an independent cybersecurity specialists to investigate the incident and will adopt any appropriate recommendations to further enhance its existing access control measures.
In a statement, Pam Golding Properties said the breach involved a third party gaining access via a user account, however, no banking, financial, commercial, or other sensitive documents were compromised.
"As soon as we became aware of the security compromise, we took immediate action to secure our systems and removed all unauthorised access. While investigating the impact of this incident, we also immediately began implementing steps to contain the incident and prevent any further compromises," the company said.
It added the clients, affected by the breach, have been notified and the hacking has been reported to police and the Information Regulator.
"We are taking this incident extremely seriously and are taking numerous steps to contain the incident and prevent any further recurrence," it said.
"We take client privacy and security, and our privacy commitments under POPIA very seriously and sincerely regret any distress or inconvenience this incident may cause. While we are still in the process of fully investigating this incident, we will be implementing additional security measures to protect all information and to minimise the effect of this security compromise," the group added.
On Monday, Elon Musk revealed that X (previously Twitter) had suffered a cyberattack.
