The internet just cannot rest, bafwethu. The minute a celebrity relationship goes public, social media turns into a full-time investigator, analysing every look, every move, and yes, even how someone walks on a carpet.
Not long ago, media personality Shamiso Mosaka made things official and confirmed she is in a relationship with DJ Speedsta.
Speaking on "Read The Room" alongside Londie London and Phil Mpela, she kept it simple and clear: her status is “taken” and “unavailable”.
The couple later stepped out together at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026, dressed in coordinated red outfits. It marked their first public appearance, but a short moment from the black carpet quickly became the main talking point.
In the clip, Speedsta appears to pull Mosaka along, and that was enough to get people talking. Some viewers felt the gesture looked uncomfortable and unnecessary.
One user reacted, “The worst is when you look at these moments and uyabona ukuthi this person wakumoshela… like why u dragging me like that in public ???????” Another asked, “Haibo, why is he dragging her like that???”
A third comment took things even further, suggesting there could be tension behind the scenes: “I jussssssssst know that he is blaming her for the backlash he is receiving. I know he told her it is her fault, and she should have listened to him the first time.”
But not everyone agreed with the outrage. Others defended the moment, saying it was being taken out of context.
One Instagram user, @shuan.sell, responded, “It’s a challenge, guys, nothing deep, Young Thug did that with his girlfriend at an award show, they are just reacting to the moment.”
The moment traces back to Young Thug, who went viral after pulling Mariah The Scientist along a red carpet at the 2025 BET Awards.
The clip sparked debate, with some calling it dismissive. It later evolved into a social media challenge, with couples recreating the dramatic “pull” for laughs.
